PostgreSQL Consulting
We provide php and postgreSQL database support.
PostgreSQL is a relational database management system that has been around since the mid-eighties. Until recently it was not as feature rich or as fast as other databases such as Oracle or MySQL.
With the release of version 7.0.3, postgreSQL has leaped over MySQL, and ORACLE in many benchmarks, in spite of the fact that it now has foreign key support (a feature that ORACLE has, but mySQL does not have).
We have prepared a binary and src rpm for postgreSQL code, and you can find it in our Downloads area.
One of the main advantages over ORACLE is the cost of postgreSQL. It is free. We can provide commercial support for postgreSQL if required, or you can do it yourself since the source code is freely available.
Our web site development includes the ability to build a postgreSQL database that your website can access. This gives the ability to create dynamic applications such as dynamic calendars, or online inventory / price lists, or client changeable web pages from the web itself.
We recommend that companies consider postgreSQL for their website and internal database needs. The low low cost of the product is passed on to our clients so that no licensing or capital investment is required to start using a database.
ORACLE Consulting
For larger clients who have standardised on ORACLE, we have been providing ORACLE database consulting since our inception in 1991. Our experience is up to date and extensive.
We can provide ORACLE database analysis, design, implementation, dba, and testing services with the latest ORACLE tools including ORACLE 8i.
We have installed ORACLE on LINUX (Red Hat 6.2 / ORACLE 8.1.6): ORACLE 8i enterprise edition has been available for LINUX since mid 1999. Check out our 8.1.6 for Linux HOWTO, and our installation tarball.
